Here is the third violin I did for the art auction. This is actually the first one I conceived. I had seen a painting of a violin with sheet music on it and I thought why not on an actual violin? Black and white seemed a bit harsh so I chose a sunset palette. The first week the kids painted sheet music with watercolors and painted the finger board copper. The second week they ripped up the sheet music and decoupaged the front. Week three they decoupaged the back including their signitures. We had a series of snow days so my time got cut short with this class. I actually had to have a student from the class come to my house and help decoupage the scroll and the neck. Funny, the child was so proud she asked her parents to buy her the violin - they won it at auction!
